Help those in need!
Extreme weather events have a devastating effect on the people and regions they impact. This is true not only in the immediate sense, but also long after the winds subside, rains relinquish, waters recede, and fires burn out. When these terrible events occur, we at NEXLAB are reminded that we must all do as much as we can to help those in need. 2017 saw several landfalling several landfalling hurricanes as well as record-setting wildfires that have long lasting effects. During these periods of relative quiet, it is important to show continued support for the organizations that are prepared to help when disaster does inevitable strike. Please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross (links provided below) and/or whichever disaster relief organization you feel comfortable with. Monetary donations are of course one of many ways to help; also consider volunteer work, donating blood, and food, water and clothing drives.
