Important Information for Students

Quarterly. The Quarterly class schedule contains detailed information about classes offered each quarter at C.O.D. Pick up copies of the current Quarterly in the Registration office, located in the Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 2048, or at Counseling and Advising Services, SRC 2044, or check out the Quarterly online at www.cod.edu

Catalog: Refer to the C.O.D. Catalog that was in effect at the time of your original enrollment (unless you have not been enrolled for more than four consecutive quarters) for degree requirements, course descriptions and academic regulations. Catalogs are available at Counseling and Advising Services, SRC 2044, and in the Admissions and Information office, SRC 2046.

Counseling/Advising: Meet with one of the faculty advisers listed in this guide to discuss which courses to take, especially if you are pursuing a degree in this field. Consult the web site (www.cod.edu) or Counseling and Advising Services, SRC 2044, to obtain a copy of requirements detailed in the Student Planning Worksheet, which is also available on the web site.

Testing: Tests in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics are administered to entering students and used to determine the appropriate placement into courses. For more information on testing requirements, call the Assessment and Testing office, Berg Instructional Center (IC), Room 150, at (630) 942-2400. Check the current Quarterly for testing times and locations.

Semester Conversion: As the college prepares to convert from quarters to semesters in August 2005, its primary concern is to make this as seamless as possible for students. Please work with an adviser listed in this guide or with Counseling/Advising for a smooth transition.
