The products available here are issued by the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) as well as local NWS WFOs. National prognostic outlooks for severe convective weather are handled by SPC while active warnings, storm reports and hazardous weather outlooks are issued by local NWS offices. In the assessment of regional severe risk, it is often useful to supplement forecasts and discussions observed here with Area Forecast Discussions (AFDs) and Hazardous Weather Outlooks (HWOs) issued or distributed by NWS-WFOs affected by the risks detailed in SPC's outlooks.
