Office Hours:
Hours vary from quarter to quarter.
If I am not in my office, I will probably be in the weather lab.
Please set up an appointment if you wish to see me at any
time.
Class:
The class will meet twice weekly for lecture and
weather discussion. Students must also spend one hour per week
in the weather lab, forecasting, using the computer equipment
or monitoring severe weather.

Attendance:
Attendance is mandatory! Each student is
allowed one unexcused absence during the term. Any
absence must be made up by an additional hour in the lab. Each
subsequent unexused absence or any absence after three total absences
will result in a one letter grade drop.
Grading:
Your grade will be based upon participation, a
few assignments and quizzes and successful completion of any assigned laboratories.
Objective:
The purpose of this class is to familiarize you
to all types of weather situations and establish a strong experiential
base of atmospheric processes.
All work must be completed. An incomplete will not be given in any circumstance. It is the student's responsibility to withdraw from the course due to non-attendance. Failure to withdraw will result in an "F". Late assignments will be penalized to a maximum credit of 50% at the discretion of the instructor. Students wishing to take this course on a pass/fail basis must earn a grade of a "C" or higher to earn a "Pass" grade for the course.
