The Risks
Here is a detailed list of all SPC products from the SPC site

  • Slight Risk(SLGT): 2% to 5% of the area outlined will be affected by severe weather
  • Moderate Risk(MDT): 5% to 7% percent will be affected.
  • High Risk(HI or HIGH): more than 7% of the area will be affected by severe weather. High Risks are somewhat rare and may only occur a few times in an entire year.

    Particularly Dangerous Situation. When a situation is labeled as a "PDS" , either on a risk or just for a particular watch, significant severe is expected. Large, long tracked tornadoes, very high winds and/or exceptionally large hail is what is expected to occur.
