COD AMS Secretary: Alex Hoffman Major: Meteorology Focus in Field: Undecided Growing up in Florida I was surrounded by storms almost every day. I have seen most everything Florida weather can bring from small single cell storms to massive hurricanes. I think being surrounded by such an intriguing weather atmosphere is what contributed to my interest of meteorology as a career. At the age of 11 we moved up to Chicago not knowing at the time what a great meteorology program “College of DuPage” had to offer. Last summer I went storm chasing with COD for the first time and it solidified my passion for weather. I started “College of DuPage” in the fall semester of 2012 and jumped into two meteorology classes right away. I’m looking forward to taking all of the classes COD has to offer. After I graduate COD, I plan to go to Valparaiso. It not only has a great meteorology program but also ROTC for the Air Force which I plan to be joining after college. Outside of my studies I’m an avid skier and I enjoy partaking in many different sports.
